You would be caring and supervising the children; this could be from newborn up to preschool.

You would assist in many aspects of their lives, through social, emotional and educational support.

Other general duties of a nursery nurse involve; playing with the children, preparing snacks, changing nappies and toilet training, teaching basic life skills such as manners and hygiene. Working alongside other staff, health care and social care professionals undertake relevant paper work and liaise with the children’s parents.

Requirements: You could become a Nursery Nurse by completing CACHE Level 3 Diploma in child care at college or a learning centre. Some may go through the route of completing an apprenticeship within a nursery, this way they also earn while they learn on the job.
